omi began teaching Pilates in 2001 after completing the comprehensive teacher training program through the Physical Mind Institute [PMI], one of the early leaders in Pilates Method teacher certifications. Early love of dance, fitness and yoga inspired her to explore various methods of movement and healing. Omi began her journey into the GYROTONIC® Method in 2004 leading to certifications in all of the specialized equipment and the GYROKINESIS® Method. An appreciation for holistic methods of healing and therapy also led Omi to the study of many eastern and western bodywork modalities including Thai Bodywork, Myofascial Release Technique and The Hendrickson Method® [Hendrickson Method of Orthopedic Massage and Manual Therapy]. Omi approaches each individual as a unique, exciting and collaborative process in which to explore and appreciates working with individuals of all backgrounds to connect them to their personal fitness and wellness goals.
